River Center, Windsor, Halifax - October 23-28, 2007
Having an opportunity to be able to go to the River Center, one which Wade Marshal, the Pastor gladly accepted, is so encouraging to see. We were able to spend a long weekend with the church, teaching a series on inner healing topics and minister the Fathers Loves to them. To see the Lord come and deal with the issues of past hurts within their hearts and take away the shame of those events is a beautiful thing to be part of. Jesus is coming for a bride without spot or wrinkle and as we surrender our hearts to Him, that is what He will get. What an awesome opportunity to be part of that.
The Tuesday and Wednesday nights were a time of sharing, praying and prophesying with the youth and leaders of the church and its ministries. We were all gathered in a circle and simply shared from our hearts and were able to pray and prophecy into the peoples lives, words of restoration, life and encouragement
For the Sunday service, after worship, the team were “let loose” as they encouraged people to share testimonies and were able to pray and prophesy in to the congregation. After speaking that night on a theme of “worship and thankfulness”, we prayed and began to worship the Lord again, encouraging everyone to bring there own song to the Lord and let their affections for God be stirred up in a fresh way. Many responded as they came to the microphone and sang, spoke and danced out there heart to God, some of which have never dared to before. We spent an hour and a half worshipping God in a new way with every one bringing their own song of praise to God with the rest joining in and participating in the new freedom that the Lord unleashed; we worshiped in spirit and in truth, and the truth set people free. Thank you Lord.
A man who had been having sleepless nights for months because of stress was healed and had the soundest sleep in ages. People who believed the lies of the enemy were brought into truth. The shame of what they had done was wiped away by the blood of the lamb and all by the wonderful love of our Heavenly Father.
The River Center is currently in the process of looking into purchasing an old railway warehouse with a view to restoring the interior and using it as it’s new church base. Although the fellowship may seem small in number, it is big in heart. The pastor, Wade Marshall is a man with an incredible heart and a big vision, one that he is willing to believing God for.
